Smells like Williams Sonoma

via here
Vintage Botanical of
Rosmarinus Officinalis

Pleasant in both odor and color...rosemary.  Vigorous and plentiful in our yard.

So, I'm always on the look out for creative uses.  Below found via Pinterest, with the description...

"Make Your House Smell Like Williams Sonoma.
A few sprigs of rosemary, lemon slices and a teaspoon
of vanilla in a pot and let it simmer on the stove."
via here
1 lemon (sliced)
Sprigs of rosemary
1 teaspoon of vanilla

Ingredients in hand, Mayhem and I attempted to make perfume a la Williams Sonoma

Simmering on the stove

Clean and fresh, a very subtle scent.  Williams Sonoma...I don't know.  Just smells like home

I'll bet it's a lovely fragrance.

I love orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves for Christmas. Nice if you can boil it then keep it simmering a bit over a candle (like a chafing dish), conserving energy.

I think I'll pick up some lemon and rosemary tomorrow!

great idea Gail, over a chafing dish....will be trying your mix this Christmas. Perhaps a holiday post!

Hi Jennifer,

I am going to give this a try today. Sounds like it might be a good thing to do after cooking sonmething with a stong smell as well.
All best,
Phyllis

Let me know what you think Phyllis. It certainly made my pot clean and shiny as well...a bonus. Lemony fresh

I love the smell of rosemary.
Looks like the master chef might be wearing a Kayce Hughes sweater.

yes, great eye Kayce. That is the outfit she picked out that morning. First worn by her sister, it has held up so well...so soft.

What a fun weekend project and a great way to use that rosemary! I'm sure it smells delicious.
Have a lovely week! XO

Veterans day today and therefore no school. My sleeping beauty has peacefully fallen asleep on the sofa tucked beneath a furry soft blanket whilst a pot of chicken stock simmers on the stove for this evening's Chicken Pot Pie. I think this is a sign to add lemon and rosemary.
Off to snip some rosemary.
