Friday Flowers-Sunshine

Mischief's interpretation of the sun

It's been dreary...rain and gray skies for weeks.  I need some sunshine.  Perhaps why I was drawn to the pillows below.  Replacements for the pillows in our family room...literally destroyed by Mischief and Mayhem.  Made by PopOColor, using Brunschwig & Fils' fabric called Summertime they'll provide a bit of sunshine year round.

A burlap fringed pillow found at 17 South Antiques in Charleston, SC adds to the natural motif.  Mischief says it's "scratchy"...built-in kid repellant.

Inspired by the citron yellow, I picked some marigolds and herbs from the yard

Marigolds, lemon thyme and rosemary...

...smells of summertime

Enjoy this last weekend of summer...hope it's sunny

Loi: not all the time. We had to leave a friend's house Friday night because she refused to pick up some legos...demanding she preferred to play drums while we cleaned up her mess
