Hair Painting

"Look, it's one of the great mysteries of the world, I cannot answer that question.  I think I'm vaguely blonde.  To be perfectly frank, I don't know"
-Cate Blanchett (when asked what color her hair is)

Illustrator, Charles Sheldon, was  the creator of the Breck Girl and illustrated many coiffures for the advertising campaign before being succeeded by Ralph William Williams

My name is Jennifer...and I'm a blondoholic

Spent the morning getting a much needed highlight and trim.  As a child, I remember a hair stylist telling me that my hair wouldn't stay blonde...and remember wanting to cry.  Well, I showed her...

circa 1979

Some of my blonde inspiration (um, delusions)
Betty Draper
Cybill Shephard

Eva Marie Saint
Olivia Newton-John
Grace Kelly
Catherine Deneuve
Marilyn

I don't care what the gentlemen think...I prefer blonde.  The bigger, the better

MK: looks very similar to pic I sent you....stylist begged me to let her cut it. Glad I did. Can't wait to hot roll it!

by the way..... I love that childhood photo of you.... you really look like a younger version of January Jones! ... and yes.... it's a definite misnomer that there are a lot of blondes in Switzerland (I think people get it confused with Sweden...ha!).... I didn't see hardly any. I might have to get in touch with my much darker (and grayer) side! :)

And later came Naomi (remarkable resemblance to you, I think):

What a sweet photo of you! I've always loved blond locks, but my dark eyes and eyebrows would give me away, so we go with honey-gold highlights -- that seem to be threaded with more gray these days, darn it!
Happy weekend, hope you get to do something glamorous with your new "do" - even it it is just sipping champagne in the backyard! XO

IDO: I haven't let my thick black eyebrows (even as a child with fair hair) stop me! It probably should have.

I tried to let my natural grow in this past year. Sadly my "natural" is now mixed with gray

I agree, blondes do have more fun. I shall do a similar post....dedicated to my goldilocks.
