"Forty is the old age of youth; fifty is the youth of old age"
-Victor Hugo...as quoted by a good friend to welcome his guests to he and his wife's joint 40th birthday celebration

Invitation-hosted by their Mothers |
Their birthday celebration felt more like Thanksgiving. Not a day to celebrate themselves, but rather a day of thanks for their 40 years...lovers of the Lord, the land and family. Held at their family home...the site of an old grist mill, surrounded by pastoral perfection. A location well suited for this day of family fellowship

This looks like an absolutely perfect celebration!
Looks like a lovely celebration - love the idea of treating a birthday as a day of thanks!
Thank you for your kind comment today! It is much appreciated.
Have a beautiful week!
Speechless. The beauty of nature never grows old nor giving thanks. I always think an attitude of gratitude is the only way to roll. That stroller looks mighty fine.
What a stunning setting for celebrating any "mill stone"-I mean milestone.
