Oh Happy Day

I know a little garden-close,
set thick with lily and red rose,
where I would wander if I might
from dewy morn to dewy night
-William Morris

It started with this...a book and a handful of David Austin gift certificates given to me by my husband

2005

I've spent the years since daydreaming and
growing my family rather than roses

2012
This year I planned, hauled, dug, landscaped and planted my rose beds.  And with one last handful of gravel, I finally have my rose garden (see before photos here)

ok, it's hard for me to get past the amazingly sweet and thoughtful note from your husband..... that's what I call inspiration. The garden and roses.....stunning.... really.

MK: music is Edwin Hawkins Singers....one of my favorites. I want a full gospel group to sing it at my funeral, ha....I know, morbid. Love that song

Will have to remember the funeral comment. The rose garden looks amazing! Even more so knowing, you were the one digging and planting. SB
