Make Believe

"It's all make believe, isn't it"
-Marilyn Monroe

Print by illustrator Jen Renninger

-MAKE-
Mischief was recently invited to a "dress-up" party.  Like Cinderella with a fairy-godmother...her Me-Me made her a special gown.  She altered (we love upcycling around here) a dress she found at a local thrift store making it fit for a princess

-BELIEVE-
Believing her socks (dirty ones) were gloves...I love her imagination

"Driver, take me to my tea party"
-Mischief (directed at me as we headed to the party)

Ohhhh, Jennifer. You just melted my heart. She's beautiful.

P.S. I don't know how you find time to do all that you do. It seems you're selective, doing what truly matters.

I'm still at my desk...that's how I do it ha. Another long night. Speaking of melting hearts...I'm drawing a heart replacement

Thank you, as always, for your kind words

This might be the cutest thing I've ever seen..... absolutely precious. I'm wondering if the socks found their way back home.... :) Have a great day!
...... oh, and I love the vine growing by the front door!

She looks beautiful! Great job on the dress. And the dirty sock gloves definitely completed the look.
Love your posts: the spot on quotes (from the famous and the wee), the original and often lesser known art work and illustrations, your thoughtful words and photographs; they are a perfect morning treat.
"Butler, would you bring me some tea?"

I knew I should have worn socks instead of those borrowed kid gloves....on my wedding day!
I love your girls. They open my heart.

Hey...I want to send you a copy of something that I found a few days ago while rummaging through some papers that my mom gave me. I tried to scan and email but no luck. Will you send me your address at tarheelrn23@me.com? Thx!
