"Children are natural mimics who act like their parents despite every effort to teach them good manners"
-unknown
It's shaping up to be a busy week. I sort of look like this...
Pony tail, pajamas, comfortable shoes, drawing at my desk
Messy hair, zoned out in front of the computer
My children mimicking their Mother at work...is that what I look like?
It could be worse...like these kids by photographer Frieke Janssens, an advertising photographer from Belgium
I'm constantly reminded they are watching us...our good and bad habits
*To assure you of the safety of the children, there were no real cigarettes on set. Instead, chalk and sticks of cheese were used as props, while candles and incense provided the wisps of smoke

My daughter's 3rd grade teacher read to all the parents a wonderful philosophy on children and our backs stood straighter as we thought it was written by her, alas it was Plato. I have to find it because it truly shows that we as adults along with a proper education can achieve greatness.
Your daughter's hair style will be taken to my salon, next trip for color and cut.

Jennifer -
read at open house when my daughter was in 3rd grade....
"The children now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for
authority, they show disrespect to their elders.... They no longer
rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents,
chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their
legs, and are tyrants over their teachers."
Can you imagine it was written by Plato -
Some things change, yet the more they copy us.

Plato, that is amazing...and he knew nothing of the extravagance of today's children! Some things never change indeed. I'm going to pass this on to friends...brilliant.
As for the hair...I hope you mean the blond bob rather than the top of the head pony tail. She won't wear barrettes...my solution for getting the hair out of her face
The first picture had me chuckling. First, the tiny hands laying out her tools, then the hair, then the shoes, then the dear friend she brought to work with her...her mind a swirl of creative activity.
Seems all three of you are prepared to really knuckle down and get some work done...just don't answer the door today.
All kidding aside, a friend once told me that if you can strip away all their shenanigans, and find a fine human being at their core, you've done your job as a mom.
what I love about blogging...the great advice! Will try to focus on their "core"
LOVE the smoke coming out of the nostrils-hehehe
