Where do you go in a small town when your daughter has just butchered her hair...with no chance of getting an appointment at a hair salon? The Butcher Shop...I mean Barber Shop. No more beauty parlors for this girl
She was so excited to wear the "super-hero" cape
Barber probably wondering about the purple glitter on her forehead
$5 hair cut and six pieces of gum for 10 cents...a bargain

Too funny, when we get our kiddos together, let's be sure to keep the sissors up! Our hair is just starting to grow out from some awkward layers! Great post. BWS
BWS: all in all, she did a pretty good job...and was so proud of herself. Not so bad considering the amount of hair on the floor
She is adorable! My "little girl" is 17 now and getting ready to leave the nest...her hair grew out just fine! ; )
Cherish every moment.
Denise: I hope we survive to 17!
What to do, what to do? You can't make light of it (your heart skipping a beat to think how close those scissors might have been to her eyes if she had wanted bangs). But oh, that cherubic face...what's a few locks of hair?
Place one in that journal I hope you're keeping raising that one.
I love it! That's great Jenn. The hair, the shoes, the glitter and the joy she is feeling. It's great that you had fun with it. wonderful memory for you both.
All scissors are hidden away. She told me this morning not to tell anyone she cut her hair...."it's a secret." Oops, Momma already shared it with the online universe
These are just about the cutest pictures ever. Those shoes! And her little bob is too cute...even if it did start out as a panicked moment.
Isn't that the truth about our moms and our inherited make-up rituals. My mom put on her make-up while sitting on her bed and looking in her tiny compact mirror. Sounds weird when you have a big mirror in your bathroom to use. But now...I do the exact same thing! I rcvd my lip tar and it's pretty cool. At first I freaked thinking I made a mistake b/c it goes on pretty glossy - like 1980's Young & the Restless glossy. But then it settles down and it does not budge. Queen is a pretty gutsy color but I got a lot of compliments on it. I'm guessing they weren't kidding when they recommended a different color lip pencil to go w/ it.
Tiffany: "Young & the Restless glossy"...hilarious, the best description ever!!!
