"Do they still make wooden Christmas Trees"

We always harvest a "wooden" Christmas Tree. Integral to a festive season....watching Charlie Brown's Christmas and putting up a REAL tree. While not as economical as an artificial tree, we have instituted a primitive tree savings account. Throughout the year we collect our loose change (a tradition adopted from a clever friend) to put toward our tree purchase.
A sign of the times...our usually full jar has suffered in this economy as well.

After watching the local Christmas parade, we headed to Gardner's Feed & Farm Supply to pick out our tree. A local institution founded in 1955, Gardner's is a visit back in time. New owners have preserved its service, patina and local flavor...yet have sensitively guided it toward a new future.
Mischief and Mayhem searched the lot for the perfect tree
Success, we found one!
