Legions Now Quiet
-a Civil War novel-
Manson Drew Case
I was enlisted to illustrate the cover. Utilizing my gene pool, I scanned family memorabilia from the era.
The Parker Family album...full of Parkers, Gibsons and other ancestors who settled in Marlboro County, South Carolina. The Parkers came to this region via Virginia in the mid 1700's. A region through which Sherman took troops on his way to Fayetteville, NC after his march to the sea...an integral theme in my Father's novel.
Letter addressed to Captain John R. Parker (my Great, Great Grandfather) written after his return from the Civil War.
Using Adobe Photoshop, I layered and morphed the images to suit the subject.

Tell your dad that his number one fan wants to know if he is working on Book 3 yet? If not, get to work.
jps
we want him to retire from retirement...he is as busy as ever
I didn't know your dad is an author! Great cover; the writing on it reminds me of your unmistakable and enviable penmanship!

my penmanship is rarely readable...not an enviable quality ha
No - I love it! And know a letter is your's before seeing the return address. Our cards hit the post today and look as though a fourth grade girl addressed them.
