The kinfolk are coming! We're busy preparing the table, decorating with fall foliage and planning our Thanksgiving meal. Looking forward to heirloom recipes, candlelight and conversation. Thankful...and thankful to have found a delightful site (via PVE Design) that reminded me that sharing a meal with friends and family is what "anchors our relationships and energizes us."
A Guide for Small Gatherings
From the Kinfolk Manifesto:
"Kinfolk is a growing community of artists with a shared interest in small gatherings...entertaining should be: simple, uncomplicated, and less contrived. Kinfolk is the marriage of our appreciation for art and design and our love for spending time with family and friends."
This site is a feast for the senses...the photography, videos and design inspire me to live more simply and take a more "natural approach to entertaining."
Whether the Griswalds (and cousin Eddie), the Clampett's or your Norman Rockwellian family are coming to visit, take a quiet moment to watch the video below...guaranteed to lower your blood pressure.
