Chalk Drawing

"Too much of the work that is floating around online right now looks exactly the same"

-Dana Tanamachi (via Design Sponge)

That cannot be said of Dana Tanamachi's chalk drawings...which are fresh and unique yet simultaneously nostalgic.   I had only recently become aware of her when I came across her artwork below commissioned by Garden & Gun Magazine.

"Pull up a seat and dig in" some of her brilliant work

A time-lapse video of her work

"Social networks can be great for dispersing information and for widening your visual library. But they can also cripple your creativity if you don’t take what you find and do something different to make it your own"

-Dana Tanamachi (via Design Sponge)

Found the idea below on my favorite social network site, Pinterest, and in keeping with Dana's statement above decided to make it my own.

John painted Mischief's art table with chalkboard paint...while she supervised

On a sunny day this weekend we decided to try it out

A little video of our own...
